Navigating Minnesota's Paid Leave Webinar

Questions on Paid Leave? Please join Hannah Weber with Winthrop and Weinstine on Friday, November 7^th at 12noon (CT) to learn more about Minnesota’s Paid Leave that goes into effect on January 1^st. This session is scheduled for 30 minutes and will also be recorded and distributed.

See below for relevant deadlines:

• November 15, 2025: Deadline to apply for an equivalent plan substitution. Absent such application, employer’s will be opted into the state plan.
• December 1, 2025: By Dec. 1, employers must notify their employees about the Paid Leave program’s launch by providing the poster and an individual notice.
• January 1, 2026: Paid leave begins; Employee wage deductions begin.
• April 30, 2026: First premium payment due from employer to MN DEED.
